Locked out of manager Role in two groups that I started

I have been locked out of two groups as manager of two groups that I started. Unfortunately, I had not created multiple managers. I was able to resurrect the manager role in a third group by having the second manager enable me as manager.
What can I do?The groups are gaining momentum and membership and I don't want to start from scratch.
