I just tried to invite 1 new member and I get the following message:
1 error prohibited this invitation mailing from being saved
There were problems with the following fields:
- This puts you over your daily invitation limit. Please reduce the number of recipients and try again.
I have not invited any others today so why am I over my daily limit?
What are those limits?
I appreciate your comments and help.

Hi Barbara,
All Groupsites have daily invitation limits. The number of invitations you can send varies from Groupsite to Groupsite, depending on the plan to which the Groupsite is subscribed, as well as your member status (manager, general member, etc.) in that Groupsite. I only tried to invite 1 person today! Is my limit 0?
The first step would be for me to take a look at the specific case where this is happening, Barbara. Have you invited members to any of your Groupsites today, even in other groups? There is a limit of 10 invitations, across all of the member's Groupsites, and higher limits (per Groupsite) for managers. Also, if you are trying to invite over your member limit within 24 hours, you could receive that message. It's also possible that the system isn't behaving as it should.

I am a manager of a Groupsite that's a Collabroation Community (large). According to the link you provided above with the revised limits, I understand I'm permitted to send no more than 400 invites per day, but when tried to do less than that today, the system gave me the "over your limit" response Barbera spoke of. I kept trying to reduce the number but the system kept balking.
I have sent 2 smaller batches of invites today and together they total about 80 people. I had hoped to send another 220 today (while it's still 4/30/12!!) but the system isn't permitting me to do this.
If you could kindly e-mail me, that would be much appreciated! I will try to check tonight and send the invite out this evening!

We're sorry for the inconvenience! Your daily membership invite limit was still set to 100 invites per day. We have increased this number to 400 invites per day.
