Problem with pop-up WYSIWYG editor in Chrome

When new members join my group, in addition to the automatically generated welcome email, I send a more individualised one. TO do this I use the "welcome her/him" button from the front page which pops up a WYSIWYG email box. Currently in Chrome, this WYSIWYG editor is incomplete with none of the actual editing features available. It just provides the textile entry version.
I also run safari and it works fine on there.

Hi, Gareth. Thanks for reporting this. I opened Ticket #2198 so we can fix it.
Have you noticed this happening in the WYSIWYG editor in other areas of the site? Just wondering if it only happens when when using the Private Message feature when activated from the "welcome her/him" action button.
I have only noticed it on the private message feature. In other areas it has been working fine.
Garth -- also, what operating system and Chrome version are you using? We weren't able to reproduce this.
That problem seems fixed - now I get this on a number of pages (i think where there are wysiwyg editors. I am using osx 106.6.2 and chrome for mac beta - 5.0.307.7 beta
Gareth,
I've noticed the same thing. This is a bug in Chrome itself. Looks like it has been fixed because I'm not seeing the problem in Chromium 5.0.329.0 (39012). Hopefully there will be an update to Chrome soon.
