calendar event deletion announcement is sent as an invitation, etc

I removed an event from my calendar and am given an option to communicate this to the members. Doing so, there are two problems:
1. There is HTML code reference in the first couple of lines of text. Here's today's example:
<b style="color: red;">This event has been removed from the calendar</b> CFLE Planning Team by Ralph Carter
Thursday, January 7 2010.
2. Since this meeting deletion notice is sent out as an invitation, people are asked to respond with "yes, I'll be there", "Sorry, I can't make it", "maybe, but I'm not sure".
Is there a solution planned?

Hello? I have heard no response since posting this note December 4, 2009. I just deleted an event and the same problem was experienced in the groupsite deletion notice sent to my group. Has anyone investigated this problem?

Hi, Ralph. Thanks for reporting this and sorry the cancellation alert doesn't seem to be formatting properly. We did miss your first report (sorry!) but got it now, opened under Ticket #2392. My hope is the team can get this fixed quickly. I'll keep you posted.
Diana, thanks very much. I don't delete events that often, but would be good to fix this problem.
