Hello - I am trying to get the site map uploaded to Google but when I copy the vierification string, an error message comes back saying it doesn't look like an authentic Google code... I have simply cut and pasted what Google provided. ?

Hi, Michael.

Could you sent your verification string to us at support@groupsite.com? It should looks something like this: <meta name="verify-v1" content="[verification code here]" />

We'll take a look to see what may be happening.

This is what Google provided:

meta name="google-site-verification" content="YM5qsCHt--s-YGSHft05qRNr7bhz0ZMuqJbH4i7cblw" /

It was enclosed by < > which I removed to make the string visible.

Mike

Hi, Michael -- Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It looks like the Google recently changed the syntax for verification ("google-site-verification" instead of ""verify-v1"). I opened a request that we update our system to accept this on Ticket #1986.

Anyone interested in Google's change can read more here:

We'll let you know as soon as this change is completed.
