What Image Formats are Supported for Custom Header Graphic?

Wondering what Image formats are supported for a Custom Header Graphic. I tried to update with a Flash file(.swf) and it did not work.

A flash animation is not an image, it is actually an embedded application.
Anything that you can use with the <IMG/> tag in HTML is supported in the custom header graphic.

Viswanatha - Changing the size of the custom header graphic is not done within a Groupsite. Resizing the image needs to be done in an image editing program. Being a Mac user, I can do this with the Preview application by selecting "Tools" then "Adjust Size".
Other applications such as Photoshop do the same. Whatever application was used to create the original image should be able to resize it.
