Help with making Website field higher priority
Hello,
I have almost 300 members in our Professional networking group, but less than 50% have added a link to their official website. All of them could add a link to their main website or at least to their profile on LinkedIN where most of our members originally signed up for our Music PAL (Publishing And Licensing) group.
Possibly one of the problems is: that it's hard to find/see where to actually enter their website link on their profile/contact details page. Please see attached image:
A solution might be: to move the Website field higher up, either above (or just below) the Email address field. Maybe also add a note which says: "Recommended for Professional Profiles" or something like this.
It's a bit crazy to have a physical address which few will actually use, when almost every business is expected to have at least some presence on the internet such as an official industry listing, website, blog, showcase, sales page or whatever. I can't imagine why professional music publishers, or those that are serving them in the industry, wouldn't want to post a link to their official website. I'm sure they want to, but maybe they're not "getting" how and where this should be done.
Of course the answer is that it's done on the My Profile >> Contact Details page, and unfortunately the Website field is "buried" way at the bottom, and maybe from some browers this field at bottom of page can't be easily seen, because it might be completely out of view.
I propose: you consider moving the Website entry field up on the same line or just below the e-mail address, since in most cases it's even more important than a phone number. People can visit my website and get my ALL my contact info there including my phone number if they need it.
But meanwhile I've got about 150 members that are missing the best part of our groupsite forum, and that's the ability to add a live link to the very business website they are intending to promote. That's a very "sad" problem to have when every one of our members are working somewhere professionally and/or running their own businesses which they need to promote.
Thanks for helping us with this problem!
