Group events not showing in main group calendar, upcoming events

I noticed that events created in https://changesault.groupsite.com/group/JulieHryniewicz/calendar are not showing up in the main site calendar or in the upcoming events listing unless one is a member of the group.
Since this is a public group, shouldn't all events display for people who come and browse the site?
