Cloning Calendar Items Across Your Network of Groupsites

It would be nice to have the ability to clone calendar items across my network of groupsites. For example, I'd love to see a drop-down list from which I may choose one or more of my groupsites (more than one chosen with the "control-click" ability) to clone a calendar item. This is important because my groups consist of diffferent people.

Hi, Trish - The ability to replicate content across multiple Groupsites is something we'd also like to see developed in the future. While it may be useful to many, we see this as especially helpful to large organizations and companies managing multiple groups across an "enterprise."
When white boarding, we've envisioned cloning and other "across the platform" functions being available through an overall administration tool - a "Groupsites Management Dashboard." This isn't currently under development, but we can see the use for such capabilities.
I, too, would like this ability. I manage one group and belong to several related groups. Many of my members do not belong to these others and I need to share / duplicate much of the same information. Oftentimes I'm painstakingly adding in items one by one and going back and forth to double check dates, copy and paste, etc.
Are there any tips at all which you can offer to help simplify this?

I have this suggestion, concerning the event descriptions:
If I have need to create duplicate events, I open two tabs in my web browser - one to access the original calendar posting, the other to access the Groupsite/day where I'm adding the event.
Then, when I copy the event details, I use the "HTML Source" tab of the editor. Copy the code and then paste it into the HTML Source tab for the new/duplicate event. This allows me to duplicate the event description including any formatting, attachments, hyperlinks, etc.
To view the event description for the new/duplicate event before submitting it, click the "Advanced Editor" tab of the Editor. You should see your original event description, including any formatting.
