Manager capability for assignment to particular subgroups

What is the status of the project to allow Administrators/Managers to "assign" members to particular subgroups....a/k/a in addition to "invitation" allow "assignment"...????
This would "greatly" improve productivity as some of our members are "slow" to figure out the game/technology so it "greatly increases manager workload""herding" them into the appropriate subgroups.
