Chromeless YouTube player

I see that I can use the embed tag to add a YouTube video - but only the stock player with other peoples videos linked at the end.
YouTube does offer a Chromeless player - but you have to have javaScript run against their API to create the play/pause/sound/etc controls.
It would be great if you could design a custom Groupsites player so we can embed YouTube videos and have more control over the player - especially when the video is finished.
